{"id":501,"date":"2017-01-08T15:06:04","date_gmt":"2017-01-08T20:06:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/frsteve.ca\/?p=501"},"modified":"2017-01-08T15:06:04","modified_gmt":"2017-01-08T20:06:04","slug":"take-the-prophecy-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frsteve.ca\/index.php\/2017\/01\/08\/take-the-prophecy-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Take the Prophecy Challenge!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are so many religions out there, how can we be sure which of them is right, if any?\u00a0 Or does science just trump everything and there&#8217;s no reason to believe in any religion?\u00a0 Would you believe that there has actually been a whole mountain of evidence right under our noses, but somehow we&#8217;ve either forgotten all about it, or just simply dismissed it?\u00a0 If there was a ton of evidence for something so significant as the meaning of life and the world around us, would it not be worth your while to consider it?<\/p>\n<p>That is what the Prophecy Challenge is about.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus is the only historical figure who was pre-announced; whose coming was actually prophesied.\u00a0 Even for centuries long before he was ever born, much was said about his life and what would happen to him, even to a number of particular details.\u00a0 My challenge to you is to learn a bit about the prophecies that came before Jesus, and to see if they do not seem to indicate that he&#8217;s the real deal.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Here&#8217;s how to take the Prophecy Challenge:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Listen to the homily above by clicking the play button, or <a href=\"http:\/\/frsteve.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Epiphany_TheProphecyChallenge.mp3\"><strong>downloading it here<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8212; or &#8212;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Better yet, pick up a copy of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/Life-Christ-Fulton-J-Sheen\/dp\/0385132204\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1483904064&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=life+of+christ\">Bishop Fulton Sheen&#8217;s &#8220;Life of Christ&#8221;<\/a><\/strong>, and read Chapter One.
