10 Year Old Forgives ISIS Exiling Her Family

Fr. Steve

I am happily a priest of Diocese of London, Ontario, as of April 25, 2015! Hooray!!! Some people are afraid to ask clergy questions sometimes, because they are worried about "what he'll think of me". I am happy to engage in any discussions you might want to have with me about the faith, and trust me, I have heard and probably even lived many of the crazy stories people might share and am not seeking to look down on you, but to help lift you up, wherever you are, to whatever degree you are willing to go. It's about you, and your relationship with God. That is what is most important to me. Since the Lord loves you without qualification, I try to impart the same courtesy.

    Fr. Steve,
I had the pleasure of meeting you at Mass this morning in Sarnia. The book I told you about regarding Saint Francis of Assisi is “Francis, The Journey and the Dream” by Murray Bodo, a Franciscan Priest. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. By the way, the video of Myriam is very moving and I agree, that we adults can learn much from children.

    Regards,

AMEEN YA RUB! She brings to life the words of Our Lord,”You must become like children to see the Kingdom of God” Mt father is a Maronite from Tourza Lebanon, and we haven’t felt the hand of Islamic terrorism since the Armenian /Syriac speaking Christian genocide in 1915, where 1 million Armenians and 250,000 Syriac speaking Christians (Syriac Catholic and Orthodox, maronites,Chileans etc) were massacred. But my mother is from Hums Syria, and our entire family has been uprooted and scattered from our ancestral lands, just as Maryam was. My worldly reaction is to want to do to isis what they have done and our doing to my people, but that would make me them. But our Lord said,”if a man asks for your sandles, give him your cloak”, and,” love your enemies and PRAY FOR THOSE WHO PERSECUTE YOU” Maryam is an example of true Christian love and her parents should be commended. What a true follower of Christ. Maryam,I’m proud to call you my sister in Christ. Praise be to Jesus Christ! Barakh Mor
