It’s Divine Mercy Sunday today, and usually I talk more about St. Faustina and the image of the Divine Mercy, but this year I wanted to talk more about the background behind Divine Mercy Sunday, and how the recognition of our sinfulness and a longing for mercy has been the constant refrain of God’s people ever since the fall of Adam and Eve.
